Lower abdomen area ultrasound scan will examine
The scan will look at these organ’s shape, size and structure and assess for possible cyst, masses, calculi, dilatation or polyps.
Pelvis scan will assess the size, structure and shape of
To assess masses, fibroids, cysts, polyps, calcifications.
Upper and lower abdominal area are scanned externally, with an ultrasound probe gently gliding over the abdomen.
Pelvic ultrasound can be performed transabdominally or performed internally- it is a trans-vaginal scan, where an ultrasound probe is gently inserted in order to provide most accurate diagnostics for organs including uterus, both ovaries and fallopian tubes.
This is an entirely painless and safe procedure, although it might not sound as a most comfortable one. Our staff are there to gently guide you and to ensure your comfort during the examination.

For the upper abdomen scan please be advised that 4 hour fasting is required – no food or drinks to be consumed but you can drink water as normal.
